  117. The installation procedure for DaMenu is quite simple.  The
  118. package includes a program, "DAINSTAL.EXE", which automates the
  119. entire process.  You will need about 600k of available disk space
  120. on the hard drive on which you plan to install DaMenu.

  122. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  123. DaMenu.

  126. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  127.  
  128. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  129.  
  130.    o  Place DaMenu distribution diskette in the appropriate
  131.       diskette drive.
  132.  
  133.    o  Execute the "DAINSTAL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  134.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  135.       the MS-DOS command, "a:", then "DAINSTAL".
  136.  
  137.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  138.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  139.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  140.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  141.       the DaMenu files to that directory.  It will make no other
  142.       changes; specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat
  143.       or config.sys files without asking you if it's OK.

  146. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE

  148. If you downloaded DaMenu from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  149. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  150. following steps.

  152.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  153.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  154.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  155.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  156.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  157.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  158.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  159.       the package.

  161.    o  Execute the "DAINSTAL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  162.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  163.       the DaMenu package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the MS-DOS
